I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I received my B.A. in Spanish and B.S. in Speech and Hearing Science in 2008 from Arizona State University, followed by my M.S. in Communication Disorders (with a bilingual emphasis) in 2010 also from ASU. I became interested in the Spanish language and culture while taking introductory Spanish courses in high school. I had the opportunity to participate in a home exchange program in Mexico for a month during high school and I also studied abroad in Spain for a semester during college. I am always looking for opportunities to practice and improve my Spanish skills! I moved to Colorado in 2010 to begin my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Aurora Public Schools, where I worked with students in preschool through 12th grade until 2013. I am excited to be a new staff member at Columbine for the 2013-2014 school year!
