I am the Interventionist and LLI (Leveled Literacy Instruction) Teacher for the Kindergarten Team. I have taught at Columbine for 12 years . I have taught Kindergarten, third grade, and second grade as a classroom teacher, and was the Spanish as a Second Language program developer and teacher for six years in grades Kinder through fifth. I have an MA in Anthropology, an MA in Socio-Cultural Foundations of Education, and an endorsement in Linguistically-Diverse/Bilingual Education from the State of Colorado. My three multiracial, special needs adopted children are grown and living in the Boulder area. My grandson is a 4th grader at Lafayette Elementary, and my youngest daughter is expecting her first child in April. My husband and I are the busy guardians of three dogs, five cats, a bearded dragon, a turtle, and two ducks—Jessie and Blanche—who keep us well-supplied with yummy eggs!
