I am the Occupational Therapist (OT) for Columbine Elementary and Columbine Pre-School. I am at the school 1.5 days a week and work at other schools the rest of the week. As an OT I provide support for students in the area of handwriting, scissor skills, keyboarding, focus, attention and physical education. I received my exercise physiology undergraduate degree at University of Colorado, Boulder and my master’s in Occupational Therapy at San Jose State University in California. Before I started working in the Special Education Department, I worked for the Office of Safe and Drug Free schools running prevention programs for the district. I previously worked as a ropes course counselor and addictions counselor with “at-risk” youth in some of our local psychiatric hospitals as well as Boulder Prep High School. I like to ski, raft, surf, camp and ride my bike. I have lived in Boulder for 23 years and I presently live in Boulder with my partner Greg (graduate of Boulder High) and with my cat Squishy.
