There she completed her BA in Anthropology and her MA in Elementary Education. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Chicago for a year and after surviving a frigid, gray winter, moved on to sunny, warm Boulder, Colorado. Courtney has been teaching in BVSD for nine years and has taught at five different elementary schools (in BVSD), including Columbine. During this time, she taught ESL literacy and completed her ESL endorsement through the University of Colorado. In 2001-2002, Courtney left Columbine for a full year at which time she realized how much she missed it and returned in 2003. Outside of teaching, Courtney is enjoying the new challenges of motherhood with her ADORABLE son, Milo. She also enjoys running, playing soccer, reading, hiking, biking, and watching CSI: Las Vegas.

Hello! I came to Columbine in 2001. I have a Masters in education, and I’ve been teaching in various capacities for 20 years, including ESL, adult education, and Montessori elementary. I love being part of the team at Columbine, and I love the kids! I also love hanging out with my family, hiking, traveling, learning languages, and reading – anything.
