My part time role as the school social worker on the Columbine Special Education team braids my background and interests together for the purpose of consulting and directly counseling kids, parents and teachers in the way that they communicate, play fair, and solve personal problems creatively and with integrity. I work in Spanish and English. My professional education includes a BFA in Studio Art, Masters in Alternative/ Experiential Education and a Masters in Social Work. I choose to be in the school environment, as I believe in providing services at the easiest level for kids and families: at school. I help kids learn strategies for coping with friends, anxiety, traumatic experiences, loss and self-control. There is never a dull moment in my day.
